Established in 1987 and based in Coffs Harbour, North Coast Group Training (NCGT) is HVTC’s Division providing group training services in the North Coast region of NSW. NCGT is the region’s leading Group Training Company with a core business of selection, induction and employment of apprentices and trainees, and their placement with selected Host Employers.
NCGT takes care of all payroll and administration requirements, monitor training, take care of safety needs and provide ongoing support and counselling so the host employer simply just needs to pay North Coast Group Training the hourly charge out rate for their apprentice or trainee and continue on with their own business.
North Coast Group Training can match occupations as diverse as office/administration, construction, the motor vehicle industry, hospitality, horticulture, health and everything in between.
NCGT has a strong history of association with the NSW Department of Education and Training working closely with the local schools of the region promoting School Based Traineeships through the Careerlink program. NCGT pioneered the Careerlink Community Services Aged Care Program that allows young people to gain a qualification into a growth industry whilst still at school. Like many of the Divisions of HVTC, NCGT has nurtured high-achieving trainees and apprentices and completed innovative training programs.
